HoBo fixation!!!!

Well in all understanding, I do feel bad for our homeless in America.  I do understand some choose the life and others are thrown into the life but in either way It is and must be a tough life, I am trying to understand that and also enjoy the inspiriational stories of how someone’s life was changed because they helped in some way!!!!!  However, when a homeless man focuses on your 4 year old daughter the act of kindness get thrown out the window, when they try to convince your 4 year old daughter to give him her food, and try to have her follow him the rule book of “kindness” gets punched in the face.   My family and I were at a weinerschnitzel and this  “homeless” man came up to my daughter and tried to touch her and talk to her, My husband asked him to leave immediately, I felt a little bad not asking if he was hungry but I was to stunned by the fact that he Chose my 4 year old to talk to instead of my husband or I.   Well He came back to talk to HER again this time my husband got extremely upset, A lady gave him some money in hopes that he would leave us alone but he didn’t, then continued to ask Izzy for her food.  Chris became angry and an older man asked to buy him a hot dog in which he replied “no thanks, I don’t eat meat”  What!, you are trying to eat my daughters food but you don’t eat meat, what ever, you aren’t getting anything from me because if you keep pestering us I will undoubtedly have to bail my husband out of jail!!!  Just about then my lovely little girl stood up and yelled “why does this HoBo want to eat my food”, I was a little embarrassed but realized she must have had enough of it and spoke her mind with any respect, He chose her to fixate on.  There were other families there with less intimidating husband to say the least but he chose our family which is scary especially since it was Izzy who kept him coming back.  It was quite scary now that I look back and realized it wasn’t the food he wanted because he was given money to buy his own, but something about my daughter, it freaks me out to think, but at least she vocalized her discomfort which is all I can ask for.  I am glad everyhting went smootly and no one is in jail or hurt or any worse for the wear but we all gained a little perspective in the end and sometimes that is worth it’s wieght in gold.

Summer time fun

Well this summer went by pretty fast, I am registered for my first class in 10 years and it is a little scary.  I am sure I will get into the swing of things fast.  We have been keeping busy during the summer, by mostly swimming and going to legoland.  We still have a few more dance recitals and 1 tae kwon do exhibition to go as well.  It will be sad to see summer end!!!  Well I hope everyone is having a great summer.

Laughlin

Been a little crazy around here.  For the most part those of you who have facebook have already seen the photos but for those of you who haven’t here you go.  In the Spring Chris and I took  a trip to Laughlin for the Laughlin river run.  Yes we rode the whole 5-6 hours up there and the freaking 7 hours (in the wind and cold) back.  It was a lot of fun to get away for a while and enjoy ourselves.  It was so hot that we were nasty and sticky most of the time but had a great time anyways, unfortunately it was freezing on the way back :)  Nothing like riding in the strong wind and cold for 7 hours :)  The kids stayed with my mom and had a great time.

Lots of stuff

Well I haven’t been able to blog due to some technical problems, but now I am trying to remedie it.  We have been quite busy withall sorts of fun activities.  We had soccer for both kids which we love but is totally time comsuming it will eat you for breakfast.  Both kids have there other sport as well, Izzy still does dance and Austin still does Tae kwon do, so when you mix soccer in there it becomes crazy for a bit.  My mom came down at the end of april to watch the kids so Chris and I could get away.  We went to the Laughlin river run, which is a biker rally.  It was awesome we had a great time.  Chris has been riding for 17 years so I feel safe on the back and I know all of you worry…but he hangs out of a helicopter for a living so for the most part I can’t let fear rule my life right?  We are almost done with this school year, the last day is June 15th and I am excited for sumer.  Isabelle will go to Kindergarten in September which i am ready for yet not ready for.  I hope she has a strong teacher for her sake and theirs!  we love our spit fire, she will conquer the world some day I know it…  Well now that I can get back on here hopefully i can update more frequently.

Love all you guys
